Our Facilities

The Child Development Institute centres are purpose built for the delivery of high-quality integrated therapy for young children, and to provide spaces for parents to work, network and learn while their child is in our programs. Parents are not required to stay at the centre during the group programs, but they must remain during 1:1 sessions as their observation of these sessions is essential.

Facilities for children:

Social Therapy group program space

  • An inviting area designed to mimic an early childhood education setting.
  • Classrooms to accommodate up to 6 children and 3 to 4 therapists in each
  • Children’s bathrooms
  • Outdoor play space

Clinic rooms for one to one therapy

  • Minimal distraction for maximum focus on therapists and learning activities
  • CCTV is installed for parents to watch the clinic session on an iPad to see and hear what the therapist are working on with their child, how they are targeting goals, and to build the parents skills through observation.
  • CCTV footage also provides the opportunity for therapists to play-back their session with your child in order to grow and develop their skills through reflection.

Facilities for parents:

  • A parent cafe area with tea and coffee making facilities and light snacks
  • Spaces to work
  • Quiet areas to watch your child’s clinic sessions on an iPad
  • Rooms for group parent workshops

We endeavour to make parents feel at home when in our centres and onsite parking is provided.

Our Western Sydney Centre is located in Northmead, just a few minutes from the Westmead Hospital precinct.

Our Northern Sydney centre is located in Beacon Hill, just up the road from Brookvale and five minutes drive from the Northern Beaches hospital.
